Today is one of those days I just wish it was like it used to be.

Sometimes, I just get tired. I look up expecting Craig to be there, like he used to. I miss him so much today.

MY PSALM

Sometimes the pressure is like a vice on my heart and mind
I’m at the point where one more press might cause a complete break

Like a strongman lifting the maximum amount of weight
Knees buckling, sweat forming, teeth clenched

Then someone drops another five-pound weight on top
This lightweight usually wouldn’t bother me

But, adding it to an already full plate…

Lord, You are my pressure relief
I seek You out for refuge

I cry out to You in anguish
Knowing You are my source of strength

Let me rest in Your strength
Surround me with Your peace
Lift me in Your arms and rescue me from this restraint

In you I find rest and refreshment
The ability to continue running

That I might stay in Your presence, Lord,
Despite my circumstances, this is my prayer.
