Pray for the people of Kolkata who are spiritually blind. They are a religious people, but confused as to who is the true God. I watched as people on a pilgrimage gathered at the River Ganges, bathing in it and a praying to the god of the River Ganges for spiritual cleaning. Someone asked, why would people bathe in dirty, muddy water, where they also burn the ashes of their dead relatives in order to get spiritual cleansing? I also watched as tons of people stood in line to go and worship the Khali god (a god with a black face and 3 orange eyes). Is this real? People believe that an idol god could help change their situation? A guy approached me explaining about the animal sacrifices made to this god and said that she is always more pleased to have a human sacrifice. The devil is a liar!!! I quickly walked away of course. Pray for the people here that their eyes would be opened and they would know the truth. The devil has them in such bondage that they can't see their futile efforts and idolatry. They are still in poverty yet they worship these gods. Only the Lord can remove the veil from their eyes and take them out of spiritual bondage.

Pray for the Christians here that they will be true light in a country full of idol worship. Pray that our meetings with the church planters here will go well as we start tomorrow. Please pray that the Lord will give me clarity and wisdom on how I should share the information. Please also continue to pray for my strength. I’m still adjusting to the time change and difference (10 and ½ hours).
