Subject: Please pray! - Leaving for Peru mission trip

Dear Prayer Warriors, (please use Prayer calendar attached)

I want to thank you for being on our prayer team! We are ready to leave for Peru.

This is a “rescue mission” - There are those who are perishing as they head towards a future in Hell! We will not be “wrestling against flesh & blood, but against… the spiritual forces of wickedness…” (Eph. 6:12). Pray for us “that we may be able to stand firm” (Eph. 6:13) as we go into Satan’s territory, having confidence that “the battle is the Lords” (I Sam. 17:47) and He will be victorious! We know that “apart from Him we can do nothing” (John 15:5), but we are confident that “we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us” (Phil. 4:13). Pray that hundreds/thousand will come to Christ!

We are counting on you to be our Aaron and Hur – to hold us up in prayer so that we will have mighty victory in the battle ahead. We will be counting on you! James 5:16 says, “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much”. As a prayer partner, God has given you an extremely important job, one that we don’t take lightly.


What we’ll be doing - We'll be going to Peru with 38 people who have been trained in doing evangelism and discipleship. Each person will be modeling it for a national church member, so that by the end of the week those national trainees will be doing all the evangelism & discipleship (as we look on and help when needed). This will give them confidence and experience in doing another similar campaign on their own later on in the year. Our goal is to train people to become fisherman capable of fishing successfully. We're also aiming at establishing 9 new churches from the cell group Bible studies held each night.

God has done incredible things before and in His power it can be done again. But we really need your prayer. Last time in Peru there were 100’s people who came to Christ, were discipled and numerous churches were started from the cell groups that week.

Thank you again for praying for us. Your prayers will release God's Spirit to do the incredible things He wants to do. And what an awesome honor it will be when someday in Heaven someone will walk up to you and thank you for "praying them into the Kingdom". May God get all the praise and glory for what He will do as we co-labor together to bring in the harvest.
